I am writing to share news from The Scrapbook Studio. Five years ago, I was given the opportunity to carry on the philosophy of the store – to be a place for crafters to gather, share and care. These five years have been amazing. I have made many new friends and together we have all grown creatively. Today, the time has come to begin a new chapter. Beginning July 1st, I have decided to step away from the day-to-day operations of the store, enjoy retirement and let someone else continue to drive the success of the store.
When I made the decision that I wanted to step away, I knew I couldn’t step away until I found the perfect fit to continue the store. Today, I am happy to announce I found that person and that person is Kristen Swain. I know she will continue the store in a fabulous manner. While there are many exciting things to come like new classes and new inventory, the philosophy of the store will remain a place to gather, share and care. I can’t wait to see what exciting things Kristen has in store for us all.
On July 1st, Kristen will take ownership of the store and I have complete comfort in knowing that she will continue to uphold the same values (and fun) that we have at The Scrapbook Studio.
Of course she will continue to host crop days, classes and events at the store. The store will continue at its current address. Wayne and Lori will continue to teach classes and attend events at the store. Kristen will continue to be an AIR store with all of your exclusives and special AIR events. Wayne and Lori are not going anywhere, just stepping back to let someone else do the day-to-day operation of the store. We hope that everyone will give Kristen the warm welcome and support that we received when we took over the store.

I am truly honored and excited to introduce myself to you as the new owner of The Scrapbook Studio, beginning July 1st.
From the very first conversations with Lori and Wayne, it was clear how deeply this store is rooted in community—being a place to gather, create, share, and care. That heart is exactly what drew me here, and it is my absolute intention to honor and continue that philosophy while adding a few new touches along the way.
I am so grateful to Lori and Wayne for their trust, their guidance, and the incredible foundation they have built. I’m also thankful for the warm, creative community they’ve nurtured over the years. I can’t wait to get to know each of you better—your stories, your projects, and the joy you bring into this space.
You can expect the things you love to continue: crop days, classes, events, familiar faces, and a welcoming environment—along with some fun new ideas, inspiration, and inventory as we move forward together.
